Scania GB has confirmed the acquisition of Haydock Commercial Vehicles, a long-standing franchise partner operating six sites across the North West of England. The strategic move strengthens Scania GB's position across the region, adding sites in Warrington, Preston, Ellesmere Port, Widnes and Deeside to its existing portfolio. The acquisition follows the decision by Haydock's owner, Simon Dykes, to step away from the business after more than two decades.

Ford Trucks and IVECO have signed a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) to co-design a next-generation heavy-duty truck cabin. This partnership will enhance both brands’ competitiveness by focusing on safety, aerodynamics, and modularity, ensuring compliance with future EU regulations. The agreement follows a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in March 2024. Now formalised, the JDA sets out a framework for the co-development and manufacturing of a new modular cabin.
