Hunter Greene’s 14 strikeouts in 7 innings were the most by a Red since 2000. However, it was all for not, as the Cincinnati Reds fell to the Minnesota Twins 5-3 in the series finale on Wednesday. The Reds had a 3-1 lead through 7 innings thanks to a TJ Friedl RBI single in the 3rd, a solo home run by Christian Encarnacion-Strand in the 4th, and a Luke Maile RBI single in the 7th. When Greene was pulled for Ian Gibaut in the 8th inning, the Reds led 3-1.
