(Speedway, IN) – Today marks the official beginning of preparations for the 109th running of the Indianapolis 500. Drivers and teams begin practicing for the big race. They will practice each day this week from Noon to 6-pm. Saturday will mark the beginning of qualifying with Sunday being the Fast 12 for the pole as well as the Last Row Shootout. (Batesville, IN) – The Batesville Middle School golf team capped off an undefeated season when they took first place at the Batesville Invitational Monday night at Hillcrest Golf and Country Club. BMS Team 1 brought home the championship trophy with a team score of 177, led by individual girls’ medalist Stella Maple (42) and Beckett Jones (43). Jax Negovetich and Evan Ibold each contributed a 46 to round out the team score, while Cade Rienschield added a round of 47.
