Since 2003, the Blackstone River Coalition has partnered with organizations in Massachusetts and Rhode Island to test the Blackstone River for a variety of factors such as water temperature, nutrients and conductivity.

LINCOLN – Members of Lincoln’s Parks and Recreation Department say they’re looking forward to another summer filled with free concerts at Chase Farm. “Each year just keeps getting better and better. We’ve seen such great turnouts these past few summers, we’re really excited to do it all again,” said Scott Winslow, director of parks and recreation. Town Administrator Phil Gould noted the summer concerts have become a highly anticipated tradition for Lincoln residents and visitors alike.

LINCOLN – With a new greenhouse and a record-breaking number of participants, Thomas Rossi, director of the Lincoln Community Garden, says he’s excited for what he says will be the garden’s busiest and most ambitious season yet. Before seeds were planted for the 2025 season, community members were signing up to fill the garden’s few vacant plots, said Rossi. “I’ve been getting calls, emails, and letters from people wanting to participate since the summer,” he told The Breeze.

Lincoln Police say that the CCRI Lincoln lockdown began when a 48-year-old man from Woonsocket used a knife to threaten other passengers on a RIPTA bus. Police were called, and upon arriving on the scene, learned the suspect was also armed with a gun.
