    Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., alongside U.S. Sens. John Kennedy, R-La. and Cory Booker, D-N.J., introduced the Freedom in School Cafeterias and Lunches Act to Congress on Wednesday, April 2. The act aims to grant schools more flexibility to serve beverages that are nutritionally equivalent to dairy milk for students who are lactose intolerant or may have other disabilities. Under the National School Lunch Program, schools are required to serve milk in order to be reimbursed for the meal.

    BUTLER TWP – Butler native Marc Fogel’s family won their fight to free him on Tuesday, Feb. 11, after a three-and-a-half-year struggle. The family’s journey required faith against constant challenges. His mother, Malphine Fogel, said she and Marc, despite being a world apart, would simultaneously pray the rosary while hoping for a future release. Along with those locally and nationally advocating for his release, she credits everyone’s prayers for Marc coming home.

    BUTLER TWP — In a news conference Tuesday night at the White House, Butler native Marc Fogel told the world how happy he was to be home and thanked those who helped make his release happen. “I feel like the luckiest man on Earth right now,” he said. “I want you to know, I am not a hero, at all.” He went on to thank President Donald Trump, members of his administration and lawmakers who helped secure his release from Russian prison. “I am in awe of what they did,” he said.
