    The UK’s Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 (DUAA) has received Royal Assent, introducing some changes to data protection law. What’s interesting to us, however, are the implications for affiliate marketing; changes that could lead to a brighter future for affiliate tracking and, in turn, industry conversion rates across the board. The Act introduces a clause allowing the collection of data “for statistical purposes about how their online service is used” without requiring prior consent.

    The U.S. affiliate marketing industry has grown by nearly 50% in three years, according to the Performance Marketing Association’s (PMA) newly released 2025 Industry Study. Spending in the channel rose from $9.1 billion in 2021 to $13.62 billion in 2024, which marks a 49.8% increase and a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 14.42%.
