CHICAGO - A judge on Wednesday sentenced a man to 20 years in prison in an attack that killed a 2-year-old boy and his uncle on Valentine's Day in 2017 after he testified against an accomplice at a jury trial last month. Thursday night, senior shortstop Ana Gold’s teammates were celebrating more than a home victory. Kim Ng, the commissioner of the Athletes Unlimited Softball League, walked onto the field at Duke Softball Stadium with a golden ticket in her hand. The AUSL begins its inaugural season in June, and Ng was at Duke to offer Gold the second of 12 automatic draft spots for college players. Virginia Tech’s Emma Lemley received the first golden ticket last Sunday.
