Dubai has its first three-Michelin-star restaurants. During Thursday night's ceremony, it was announced that two restaurants – FZN by Björn Frantzén and Tresind Studio – were awarded the guide's highest accolade, three Michelin stars, becoming the city's first restaurants to hold the honour. Homegrown Tresind Studio, which previously held two Michelin stars, has become the world's first Indian restaurant to earn three stars.

When my friend first mentioned the word Labubu to me a few weeks ago, I had no idea what she was talking about. “Have you been living under a rock?” she asked me. Apparently, I had. A few hours later when I opened Instagram, there it was. A strange little fluffy monster staring back at me, as if it had been summoned. In the weeks since, it’s as though I can’t escape these little creatures and their slightly sinister smiles. TikTok is obsessed with them.

Art Basel has long reigned as one of the world’s most prestigious art fairs, connecting artists, collectors and gallerists from around the globe. And, in a landmark moment for the Middle East’s cultural credentials, it has announced it will be holding its first-ever edition in the region, with Art Basel Qatar. Set to take place in February 2026, Art Basel Qatar’s inaugural edition will take over Doha’s creative hub, M7 Qatar, as well as the Doha Design District in downtown Msheireb.
