    Dubai has its first three-Michelin-star restaurants. During Thursday night's ceremony, it was announced that two restaurants – FZN by Björn Frantzén and Tresind Studio – were awarded the guide's highest accolade, three Michelin stars, becoming the city's first restaurants to hold the honour. Homegrown Tresind Studio, which previously held two Michelin stars, has become the world's first Indian restaurant to earn three stars.

And, in a landmark moment for the Middle East’s cultural credentials, it has announced it will be holding its first-ever edition in the region, with Art Basel Qatar. Set to take place in February 2026, Art Basel Qatar’s inaugural edition will take over Doha’s creative hub, M7 Qatar, as well as the Doha Design District in downtown Msheireb.
