(WBTV) - A New Mexico man was sentenced to five years in prison on Friday, after he defrauded Verizon Wireless and threatened and stalked a woman he met online from Raleigh, according to the FBI. According to court documents, Robert Glauner, 60, met and talked to a woman he met from Raleigh online and they talked briefly in Sept. 2023 before she rejected his attempts at talking to her.

MARION, N.C. (WBTV) - Multiple emergency crews responded to a wildfire on Tuesday in McDowell County, according to officials. Officials said on Tuesday, April 15, that the North Carolina Forest Service, US Forest Service and Woodlawn Fire Department responded to the wildfire on Armstrong Creek Road. MAIDEN, N.C. (WBTV) - A second preschool teacher in Catawba County was arrested on Friday after reports of child abuse, according to police. Maiden police said on Friday, April 11, they investigated a report of child abuse by a teacher at Maiden Rosenwald Preschool Academy in the 2- and 3-year-olds class. Police arrested Cheryl Dobbs,46, on Thursday, April 10, and then on Friday a second suspect, identified as Daisha Williams, 34, who was a teacher in the same classroom as Dobbs.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A 20-year-old man was arrested on Friday in connection with the shooting death of a man in north Charlotte back in late February, according to Charlotte police. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said on Friday, April 11, they arrested Khanahnai Coleman, 20, for his involvement in killing Rashaad Sinclair, 27. Coleman was charged with murder and armed robbery and is in the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.

ROCKWELL, N.C. (WBTV) - The Rockwell Rural Fire Department on Tuesday responded to an overturned truck carrying explosives in Rockwell. The fire department said that on Tuesday, April 8, around 3:30 p.m., they responded to the area of High Rock Road.
