GREENVILLE — Downtown’s only bicycle shop is looking for a new home, now that a major church has bought the building the shop currently rents at the corner of Richardson Street and West McBee Avenue. Grace Church, whose downtown branch sits at the same intersection, bought the two-story, red-brick building that houses Reedy Rides for $3.5 million on May 22, according to Greenville County property records. The building’s previous owner, Accente Group, is led by Rajesh Patel, an Upstate hotelier.

EASLEY — One of the largest private, nonprofit health care systems in South Carolina has begun work on a new 112-bed behavioral health hospital, funded in large part with $100 million from the state. The $138 million hospital, situated on 46 acres near the intersection of Old Easley Bridge Road and State Highway 153, will nearly double Prisma Health’s capacity to provide inpatient behavioral health care in the Upstate and quadruple the number of inpatient beds for children and teenagers.
