A three-year-old family dog named Pearl who had been suffering in a leg-hold trap for days by a farm near Fort St. John has had her leg amputated. On Feb. 3, Pearl didn’t come home for dinner, and that never happens. Her family launched a search, looking everywhere, but couldn't find the Anatolian Shepherd. “I started hollering for her,” said Ricki Hartley who was terrified Pearl had fallen through ice.

Sellers of an exclusive and very pricey bottle of Grand Marnier are trying to get their hands on more for the Canadian market, because most have already been sold to British Columbians. There are only 500 bottles of this year’s Quintessence in the world, and 20 were made available for sale in all of Canada. At the official launch on Tuesday, representatives from the Campari Group – which owns Grand Marnier – confirmed all but two had already been acquired.

Ryp, the four-legged member of the Vancouver Canucks, who quickly became a fan and player favourite, has died. The team confirmed the news Sunday in a social media post, calling the young lab “an incredibly special member of our Canucks family.” “It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of Ryp’s sudden passing late last week,” the team said, sharing a photo of the pup in a Canucks hoodie.
