    A British Columbia RCMP officer has been suspended with pay as he faces criminal charges of sexual assault and uttering threats. Const. Jason Sammoun of the Ladysmith RCMP was charged with one count of uttering threats and two counts of sexual assault with a weapon or causing bodily harm on Dec. 30, 2024. All three charges stem from incidents that allegedly occurred on April 1 of last year in both Nanaimo, according to court records.
