    A 71-year-old Fort Myers man faces murder charges after a fight Saturday night at his home. According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, deputies were responding about 10:40 p.m. to a domestic disturbance call in the 1100 block of Bermar Street when 911 operators received a call of a stabbing at the same address. Deputies arrived and immediately started first aid for the victim, who had a stab wound to their chest. The sheriff's office reported the person had died immediately.

According to the State Attorney's Office, 20th Judicial Circuit, Franado Ray Brown Jr., 31, of Belleville, Illinois, was convicted in financial exploitation of the elderly and ordered to repay $26,412.92.

    A teen driver faces charges in the March 12 crash that killed his passenger. Issac Giovani Sales, age 18, of Fort Myers, was driving a car on Gladiolus Drive approaching a red traffic signal at Maida Lane about 6:45 a.m. Florida Highway Patrol troopers said Sales failed to stop. His car hit an SUV as it attempted to turn on a green light, crash reports indicate. The SUV collided with a wastewater lift station, seriously injuring the driver.

A jury had found him guilty in January, with sentencing in early April.
