El proyecto de generación distribuida de energía fotovoltaica en la azotea de la fábrica de Energía Ganfeng LiEnergy se conectó oficialmente a la red y comenzó a operar. El proyecto tiene una capacidad instalada de 3.4 megavatios y aprovecha plenamente la azotea de la fábrica como sitio fotovoltaico. La electricidad generada se utiliza para la producción y operaciones de Ganfeng LiEnergy. Cualquier exceso de electricidad que no se pueda consumir se vierte en la red eléctrica.

Forester Nick Manlisis recalls an incident in 2015, when he and a colleague encountered people logging illegally in a protected area 75 km south of the Philippine capital Manila. As they were leaving the forest with chainsaws they had seized from the loggers, a group from the local community surrounded their vehicles. “A few individuals even blocked our vehicles, preventing us from departing the area,” Manlisis says.
