EVIAN-LES-BAINS, France — Lauren Coughlin climbed into the top three on Moving Day at The Amundi Evian Championship, firing her second 6-under 65 of the week to sit in a share of second alongside Ayaka Furue with 18 holes to play at Evian Resort Golf Club. The Virginia native got off to a strong start on Thursday, carding a bogey-free 7-under 65 to be in a tie for fourth early in France.

The second round of The Amundi Evian Championship was suspended due to dangerous weather conditions on Friday, with players evacuated from the golf course due to storms in the area at 4:23 p.m. local time. The second round was then officially called for the day at 6:09 p.m. local time, and resumed at 7:29 a.m. on Saturday. After the Saturday morning resumption, Ayaka Furue leads the field at 12-under and is two shots clear of her closest competitors.

Almost a year after turning professional, Rose Zhang checked a new career milestone off her list, recording her lowest round on the LPGA Tour on Thursday at the Cognizant Founders Cup. Zhang began her day in the afternoon wave and wasted no time recording two birdies on two of her first three holes. She fired off four-straight birdies to end the front, placing her squarely towards the top of the leaderboard chasing the leading Swede, Madelene Sagstrom at 7-under.
