    Library picture of Police traffic speed gun. MADAM - There would be rich pickings if a mobile speed camera were to be parked at the top of Rough Hill Drive, Oakenshaw. I would estimate 80% of traffic is exceeding the speed limit, making life difficult for residents in that area. Relevant department take note. Mr Wilkes Redditch

    Bromsgrove Leisure Centre MADAM - The new Leisure Centre is increasingly popular and it's good to see it so. However this has meant that parking at the site is difficult. The lower car park is now open but people are using every available space, not just designated bays. The verges and landscaped areas are getting damaged. Last night it was awkward to drive round the car park due to cars on the pavements and even in the motorcycle bays.

    2 1/1 MADAM - It was great to see a bumper crowd at the Victoria Ground on New Year's day watching Bromsgrove Sporting play it out against local rivals Stourbridge. Good times have returned to the town's Football Club, as locals are getting as excited for these big games as they did for our famous boxing day games against Kidderminster and our FA Cup 3rd round tie against Barnsley. We even have our share of celebrities coming to watch the Sporting.

    Should we be switching off lights like these to save the planet? MADAM - Every year the number of Christmas lights hung outside houses increases. They may look festive but they are a chilling symbol of the massive over-consumption that is killing our planet. The price of that Christmas sparkle is more carbon filling our atmosphere which, as we all know, is causing global warming and threatening a mass extinction of species – including our own.
