While the ANC and the DA continue their dances away and perhaps back to each other, the events of the past few days reveal something fundamental about our politics. That in its nature, nothing has really changed since the formation of the national coalition. Our parties are generally still stuck in what could be called the ‘immediate post-apartheid phase’ of our democracy.
