At least 60 Prisons officers were at the weekend appointed and deployed in a bid to enhance professionalism and improve service delivery. In an interview with Monitor yesterday, Mr Frank Baine, the Prisons spokesperson, said the officers have been serving in different positions within the service while others recently completed the intermediate command and staff course at the Prisons academy in Luzira.
