Dan Stephenson is nonverbal on the autism spectrum. He does a limited amount of speaking and struggles to express simple thoughts. It’s a different story for the 29-year-old Fairfield Glade resident when it comes to the written word, however. Stephenson is eloquent and thoughtful in his writing, and he’s able to share it with others through cutting-edge therapy utilizing a keyboard and computer that gives him a voice. Stephenson lives with his parents, Jim and Carol.
