The warning said minor flooding is forecast and that portions of the river may continue to flood, according to the NWS. The river is expected to rise above the flood stage of 15 feet.

A suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting and stabbing during a funeral service in Hartford on Friday, officials said. Joshua Smellie, 34, of Hartford, has been arrested and is charged with first-degree assault, criminal possession of a firearm, criminal use of a firearm, risk of injury, first-degree reckless endangerment, and third-degree assault on an elderly person, according to the Hartford Police Department.

A West Hartford man has been sentenced to more than a decade in prison for drug trafficking, officials said. Joseph Giovanni Soto, 34, was sentenced Friday by U.S. District Judge Stefan Underhill in Bridgeport to 14 years in prison, followed by five years of supervised release, for trafficking cocaine.
