STORRSVideo replays of the foul called on Creighton’s Steven Ashworth with 7.8 seconds to play in Saturday’s Big East battle clearly show UConn’s Hassan Diarra was fouled in the act of shooting a 3-pointer. Diarra should have been given the chance to tie the game with three free throws, but instead the Huskies had to resort to a bad 3-point attempt by Alex Karaban with four seconds left and lost, 68-63, to the Bluejays at Gampel Pavilion.
