LANDRUM, S.C. (BRAIN) — Cardinal Cycling Group is selling the machinery and raw materials from what was once the largest steel frame factory in the U.S.The equipment was used by Detroit Bikes, which made bikes for its own brand and others in Michigan. Cardinal — which also owns TIME Bicycle — bought Detroit in 2022. Last year, Cardinal sold the Detroit Bikes brand, current model IP, current customer contracts, wheel building machinery and various other assets to Bloom Holdings.

OLATHE, Kan. (BRAIN) — Garmin's new Edge MTB, is the company's first GPS bike computer specifically made for mountain biking. Special features include access 5 Hz GPS, which the company said shows riders more trail details, including downhill details. It also has new enduro and downhill ride profiles and a rugged case with seven overmolded buttons designed to resist mud and grit and a scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass lens. The device includes top tube and MTB mounting options.

TAICHUNG, Taiwan (BRAIN) — Giant Group's sales to America — under its own brand and to its original equipment customers — have declined steeply since the pandemic even as sales in Asia, China in particular, have grown significantly. Giant's sales in the Americas have fallen from 21% of the the company's global revenue in 2019 to 8.6% last year, according to the company's 2024 annual report. Meanwhile, sales to Asia have grown from 24% of the global total to 44% over the same period.

KOBLENZ, Germany (BRAIN) — Canyon Bicycles’ sales grew by 1 million euros last year, from 791 million euros in 2023, to 792 million euros ($900 million at today’s exchange rate) in 2024, according to an annual report from Groupe Bruxelles Lambert, which bought a roughly 50% share in the company in 2020. GBL reduced the value of the Canyon shares it owns from 460 million euros at the end of 2023 to 261 million at the end of 2024.
