On social media recently I asked for input on favorite baseball movies. I listed my Top 5: “Moneyball” (2011); “A League Of Their Own” (1992); “Field Of Dreams” (1989); “The Scout” (1994); and “The Natural” (1984). Responses of other baseball movie favorites included “Bull Durham” (1988), which often appears near the top of baseball movie lists, and “The Naked Gun: From The Files of Police Squad!” (1988) – I have some weird friends.

William Jackson Smart was born in Crawford County in Northwest Arkansas (Van Buren is the county seat) in 1842. You might say he is the father of Father’s Day. Well, at least he’s the father of the mother of Father’s Day. kAmsFC:?8 E96 r:G:= (2C[ $>2CE D6CG65 :? E96 &?:@? pC>J :?
