On social media recently I asked for input on favorite baseball movies. I listed my Top 5: “Moneyball” (2011); “A League Of Their Own” (1992); “Field Of Dreams” (1989); “The Scout” (1994); and “The Natural” (1984). Responses of other baseball movie favorites included “Bull Durham” (1988), which often appears near the top of baseball movie lists, and “The Naked Gun: From The Files of Police Squad!” (1988) – I have some weird friends.
