A 29-year-old man is recovering after a randomly being stabbed in Dartmouth. Police found him on the ground on Ranya Lane in Dartmouth and taken to hospital. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover. The man describes the attack as being unprovoked as he was walking and was stabbed from behind. “While he did not see who stabbed him, he does describe seeing a man after the attack with a goatee and black hoodie with a yellow stripe.

Police are investigating a possible homicide in Halifax. A 40-year-old woman was found lying on the road near Gottingen and Bloomfield Street. Paramedics tried to help the woman but she later died in hospital. Police did not reveal her name or say what kind of injuries she had, but are calling the death suspicious. The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service is conducting an autopsy to determine cause of death.
