A Sydney man has been sentenced on drinking and driving offences that occurred in 2015 and 2017. Jordan Alexander Parago, 34, was sentenced on charges of failing to remain at the scene of an accident and refusing a breathalyzer demand. Other charges including impaired driving and driving with a blood/alcohol level exceeding the legal limit were dismissed. Parago is now suspended from driving for two years and was ordered to pay a $2,000 fine. He is also to perform 75 hours of community service work.

It’s a sure sign of warmer weather when the staff at Loaves and Fishes in Sydney bring out the barbeque. The community kitchen provides a hot meal once a day for those in need. Marguerite MacDonald, far right, the facility’s culinary director, said barbeques are now a regular feature of the facility.
