Former Liverpool trainee Lloyd has joined from JD Cymru Premier side Bala Town while Glynn moves to Gigg Lane from National League North side Hereford. The pair are the fourth and fifth signings of the summer following Scott Duxbury, Callum Spooner and Owen Robinson. Full back Lloyd joined Bala following his release from Wigan Athletic. He has also had loan spells at Larne, Chorley and AFC Fylde.

There were also celebrations for AC Milan, who got the better of Brentford to win the Plate bracket at Burnley Training Centre during the three-day tournament . It was wet and windy at times but that didn’t dampen the spirits of the players or supporters, with the action getting underway at 10am. The day started with matches between the beaten Cup and Plate quarter finalists, and Burnley produced an emphatic 6-0 victory over Sevilla thanks largely to four goals from Sonny Loughlin.

It has been a waiting game for the club ever since they made the decision to withdraw from the Barclays Women’s Championship at the end of the 2024-25 season due to the significant rise in minimum criteria set by the WSL on Tier 2 clubs. It was widely anticipated that the team would rejoin at this level as FA rules state the club can only re-enter the pyramid at least two tiers below the league they’ve withdrawn from which made Tier 4 the highest division Rovers could compete in.
