I made my way through the crowds before realizing that I would then have to navigate a series of rain-sodden steps to arrive to the Seine-side building hidden away beneath that magnificent Beaux Arts bridge.

在一月某個下著雨的陰鬱幽暗夜晚，放眼望去彷彿只有燭光和星光閃爍。一台計程車抵達位在亞歷山大三世橋（Pont Alexandre III）下的Maison Margiela Artisanal時裝秀，那也是當週最後一場高級訂製服秀了。現場有幾百名年輕人殷殷企盼他們崇拜的明星抵達，為他們歡呼尖叫。我穿梭在人群中，意識到我必須爬過一連串濕答答的階梯，才能抵達位在塞納河邊藝術橋下建築物。幾年前我中風了，對於上下這樣的臺階有些堪慮，但我還是緊緊抓住扶手——我也必須這麼做——勇敢地一步步走過來。 我走進一個宛如破舊的30年代夜店，整個空間由堅固的石頭拱門支撐著，地面殘破陳舊， 通往事先擺好的幾張撞球桌和Thonet座椅。現場只見Galliano的忠實粉絲們，我這桌坐著Lila Grace Moss、Tish Weinstock，和美麗標誌的芭蕾舞演員Francesca Hayward（我才在皇家歌劇院觀賞過她飾演那令人心碎的女主角Manon...
