    Be a part of the action and volunteer with 41 North Film Festival. This year’s festival will take place Nov. 2-5, and we need your help to make it happen! We welcome film enthusiasts, members of the campus community and local area residents. Individuals and groups are invited to join us as volunteers.     Christchurch’s publicly-owned economic development agency is warning its buying power is weakening as cost pressures increase and millions of dollars in Government funding dries up. ChristchurchNZ expects to have $28.1 million of funding in this financial year, but that will drop to $18.5m in the 2023/24 financial year, according to a report presented to city councillors last week.

The port’s parent company, Christchurch City Holdings Ltd (CCHL), confirmed on Thursday morning it had accepted resignations of chairperson Margaret Devlin and director Don Elder. Both had been on the board for more than four years.

    Four new directors have joined the board of the Christchurch City Council’s investment company, which oversees several publicly-owned companies like the airport and port. Christchurch City Holdings Ltd (CCHL) confirmed David Hunt, Bridget Giesen, and Martin Goldfinch have joined the board now, with Chris Day joining in September to coincide with existing member Alex Skinner standing down.
