    A victim of late priest Malachy Finegan who was accused of sexually abusing young boys has told UTV he has set his 13-year-old self 'free' after revisiting the parochial house in which he was abused. Sean Faloon, who now lives in Glasgow, hasn't been able to visit his hometown of Hilltown in daylight due to the mental trauma caused by the abuse. The parochial house on the Castlewellan Road is due to be knocked down in the near future. It has been a target of arson and vandalism in recent years.

    A farmer has told UTV that the emotional toll of losing sheep in dog attacks is worse than the financial impact. That's despite the price farmers paid for losing livestock and dealing with injured animals jumping by nearly half in 2024 compared to the previous year. Farm animals in Northern Ireland worth an estimated £218,000 were severely injured or killed in dog attacks in 2024, according to NFU Mutual. In 2023, the figure was £147,000, an increase of 48%.

    Three lifeguards have been found not guilty of neglecting their duty of care following the death of a swimmer in Armagh nearly seven years ago. Christopher Rogers was 20-years-old when he died after training in the swimming pool at Orchard Leisure Centre in April 2017. On trial were three lifeguards at Newry Crown Court, who were employees at Orchard Leisure Centre in Armagh in 2017.

    The daughters of a builder who recorded a video message warning tradespeople to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when on site as he was dying at home, have told UTV he was 'the strongest person' they knew. Raymond Callaghan from Keady in Co Armagh, had worked on building sites since he was an apprentice at the age of 17. However, exposure to cement dust throughout his career led to him being diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis in 2019.
