SANGERVILLE — “Sangerville is on the move.” The words of Town Manager Brian Mullis describe how town officials feel the community is moving in the right direction. “Through a series of events we ended up with three new selectmen in one year,” Mullis said, sitting in the current home of the current town office at 93 Main St. while the nearby town hall is undergoing construction. Current Chair Jeff Peters was elected at the 2024 annual town meeting.

FORT KENT, Maine — Acadia Federal Credit Union proudly announces the promotion of Erica Albert to executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective March 3. Albert will share the EVP role with current EVP Joey Cannan during a leadership transition period. This transition will culminate in Cannan becoming chief executive officer upon the retirement of current CEO David Desjardins on July 1. Albert will officially assume full responsibilities as EVP/CFO on July 2.

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Dover-Foxcroft Interim Town Manager Alsina Brenenstuhl now has the temporary title removed. Brenenstuhl was appointed as town manager by the select board during Monday night’s meeting by a unanimous 7-0 vote. Brenenstuhl will have a three-contract with a six-month probationary period. The select board was set to discuss expectations for this timeframe period during an executive session later in the evening.

MILO — Moving forward, the town of Milo will have one license for a recreational cannabis business and another for a medical cannabis establishment per the cannabis licensing establishment ordinance. Ordinance amendments were approved at a special town meeting on Monday evening. “Essentially the major change on this is that right now our ordinance calls for two recreational and we are changing that to be one recreational and one medical,” Select Chair Paula Copeland said.
