Tim Keiderling, 58, and his daughter, 28-year-old Esther Keiderling, both of Ulster Park, New York, were last seen on Katahdin’s Tablelands heading toward the summit about 10:15 a.m. Sunday, according to Baxter State Park. The Keiderlings left Abol Campground that morning for the hike.

The duo was riding an ATV about a quarter mile from Owlsboro Road about 11:14 p.m. when they rolled over and were ejected, according to the Dexter Fire Department. When rescuers arrived, they were both conscious and breathing, the fire department said Monday morning. They were taken to the hospital. No additional information was immediately available.
