THE steady growth of Exeter City Football Club continues with the Supporters’ Trust announcing they have surpassed 5,000 members for the first time. As the only supporter-owned club in the EFL, the Grecians’ model is unique with no sugar Daddy, or wealthy owner prepared to underwrite cheques or write off debts accrued in the pursuit of glory. The Supporters’ Trust became owners of the Grecians in the summer of 2003 when the club was at its darkest hour.
