Multiple police vehicles have been spotted in Plymouth's city centre this afternoon (Sunday, April 27), with locals claiming something had happened at the Premier convenience store on New George Street. Photos taken by locals on the scene show four police cars and a police van lining the street. Residents and shoppers can also be seen gathering as the scenes unfold.

Shiver me timbers! Plymouth Pirate Weekend is returning next month for another weekend of swashbuckling fun. There'll be entertainment and activities across Plymouth's waterfront all weekend. This year's event will stretch from the Barbican to West Hoe, from Millbay to Royal William Yard. Organisers say there will be something for all ages to enjoy, from street entertainers to story tellers, face painting, traditional shanty bands and the Gables Farm dog show.

A woman is continuing to climb after losing function in her right leg following an accident. Hannah Baldwin, 32, from Ivybridge was left being unable to use her right leg following a climbing accident at the age of 12. Things were made harder at 13 when Hannah was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, resulting in the majority of her time across her teens and twenties being spent in and out of hospital, unable to walk.

A damning report has unveiled a series of dental horror stories from mothers and grandmothers, highlighting the severe impact of the NHS crisis on women. The Women's Institute conducted the survey, which revealed that the lack of access to NHS dentists disproportionately affects women, who are more likely to be economically disadvantaged, have caring responsibilities, and suffer from poor dental health.
