A student who lived with debilitating pain for years, even after getting a diagnosis, says he has finally found the solution for dealing with his Crohn's disease. Shaun Deane, a 28-year old film student from Plymouth, was diagnosed with Crohn’s at the age of 15. For years, he lived with debilitating pain that felt like a “stitch that never went away”. He also experienced side effects from pain medication that nearly proved fatal. But earlier this year, he says he finally found relief.

A wave of tributes have been left for people from Plymouth or those with links to the city who have died recently. The heartfelt messages appeared in the funeral notices section of PlymouthLive's sister title, The Herald, with 22 funeral notices left for people who either lived in the city, or had links to it and have died recently. The messages, placed between June 14 and June 20, provide comfort to the loved ones of those either lost or being celebrated. There were also three memoriams.
