    ST. LOUIS (KMOX)--The owner of Jack Patrick's, at 10th and Olive, is hoping "things will change" with a new mayor in St. Louis. "I just try to take care of the inside here," said Kevin Liese, owner of Jack Patrick's. "The outside is just something I have to deal with."Jack Patrick's (10th and Olive) had a break in overnight. Three suspects took a case of vodka and a candy bowl from the bar. They tried to get into the ATM inside but to no avail. The owner tells me it'll be about a $2,000 fix.

    ST. LOUIS (KMOX)--More details are on the way about a four-county, state-funded regional police training center. A 50-million dollar state grant would cover the cost of the facility, likely to be built in St. Louis County, which is partnering with St. Charles, Franklin and Jefferson County. St. Louis County Executive Sam Page says the project has been in the works for years.

    The woman who claimed one of her chimpanzees died in her possession in Festus has pled guilty. Tonya Haddix, the figure behind the Chimp Crazy program on HBO, has entered a plea of guilty on 3 felony counts: two counts of perjury and one count of obstruction of justice. Haddix is scheduled to be sentenced July 16. Each perjury charge is punishable by up to five years in prison, a $250,000 fine or both prison and a fine.

    ST. LOUIS (KMOX)--A St. Louis City police officer is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle on I-70 around Shreve Monday morning. "His family is here," said SLMPD Chief Robert Tracy, "his father, brother, and other family members are here. They have had an opportunity to speak to him. It's a very very serious injury to his leg."Chief Tracy says it started as an investigation into a carjacking that led to a police chase.

    JEFFERSON CITY, MO (KMOX) - A lawsuit asking to overturn the election results for Proposition A was heard by the Missouri Supreme Court Wednesday. Prop A raises the minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2026 and requires businesses to provide paid sick leave. Schools, colleges, and government employers are exempt. Voters approved it back in November.
