    SAN DIEGO — Customs and Border Patrol announced they seized drugs and guns on Wednesday, March 6 at the port of entry in San Ysidro. CBP said that on March 4 around 10:40 PM, officers were conducting an inspection and encountered a 38-year-old woman driving a 2019 SUV trying to get into the United States from Mexico. During their inspection, officers said they noticed several packages behind the rear seats.

    SAN DIEGO — A mountain lion has been confirmed dead after it was hit and killed by a vehicle on Friday around 7:25 PM, according to Oceanside Police. However, it is unknown if this is the same mountain lion that caused a stir on social media recently. The mountain lion was walking along North River Road in a remote area of Oceanside east of Wilshire Road halfway between Fallbrook when it was struck by a vehicle. Fish and Wildlife responded and took possession of the animal remains.

This annual spectacle happens when cherry blossom trees bloom into vibrant pink displays of color and nature.     SAN DIEGO — U.S. Customs and Border Patrol in San Diego made a major bust on February 29 where a vehicle was discovered to have hundreds of thousands of fentanyl pills inside, totaling more than $11,220,000. Around 8:20 p.m. on Thursday, February 29, a 37-year-old man approached the border into the United from Mexico in a 2008 sedan, according to U.S. Customs and Border Patrol.
