Moving hesitantly into the week

Working on my granddaughter’s baby quilt this weekend provided a much-needed rest from the world. I’m feeling resistant at the thought of moving back into all that there is this morning. Today's message is a lighthearted one, with an interesting question. I'm excited to share that I've reached a new milestone-350 subscribers, a number I've been working towards for a few weeks. I know in the world of Substack, this may seem modest, but perhaps not considering I've put more effort into my writing than promoting my publication (more on this later). Regardless, seeing this milestone on my dashboard was a delightful moment. And get this: My new subscriber appears to be young.

As this year nears an end, I am reluctant to release the holidays and move into 2025. As Christmases go, this one was quiet for us. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the days before and after Christmas more than I can say. As such, I feel reluctant to release the holiday, so this post I mentioned would not be in your inbox this week is finding its way to you. It’s my way of encouraging myself and anyone who wants to join me to take a bit of the goodness into the new year.

A few year end announcements, this will be the last post of 2024. I have a few changes in mind for Tales in 2025 that I will share in the new year. Also I’ll be picking “The beginning” back up soon after I return. This year end was too hectic to give it proper energy. I'll finish this year with a post about what joy means to me during the holidays. Of course, joy arrives wrapped very differently for all people. For our kitty Sis, joy is being surrounded by Christmas decorations.
