We’re thrilled by the response to Veo 3. The Google AI Ultra plan grants the highest access to Veo 3 and later today we’re launching it in the UK. The Ultra plan is now available in 73 countries, and we’re working hard to bring it to even more. Google AI Pro subscribers in those countries get limited access to Veo 3 in Flow, and a 10-pack of trial video generations to test it out in the Gemini app. Starting today, Pro subscribers will also have access to Veo 3 in the Gemini mobile app.

Last week’s I/O keynote was packed with live demos, model news … and plenty of numbers reflecting the momentum and growth of our products. Since there was so much going on, we wanted to try a fresh way to explore and understand some of these updates — so we asked Gemini for some help. We used Canvas (which also got some updates last week) to analyze the transcript from the keynote, pull out some impressive numbers and offer explanations of them.

Project Green Light, Google Research’s initiative to lower traffic emissions using AI, has expanded to 114 intersections throughout Boston. This technology uses AI and Google Maps driving trends to model traffic patterns and recommend how to optimize existing traffic light plans. City engineers can implement the recommendations in as little as five minutes using existing infrastructure.
