THE Kansas City Chiefs have moved early in a big decision over one of their NFL Draft class. Kansas City has wasted no time in tying up some loose ends before training camp. The Chiefs selected Josh Simmons, 22, with their first-round pick in the NFL Draft. He was picked at No. 32 overall on Thursday night in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Simmons officially put pen to paper on his Kansas City contract. He signed a four-year deal worth $14.765 million.

BASEBALL fan Kavan Markwood has 'a long way to go' in his recovery from a terrifying fall. Markwood, 20, was rushed to hospital after falling 20 feet from the stands onto the field at an MLB game. An update was issued via a GoFundMe page set up for the Pittsburgh Pirates fan. He was left fighting for his life in a trauma unit after the incident. Jennifer Phillips set up the page to help fund his recovery.
