Fuji San Japanese restaurant reopened at 100 Rano Blvd. in Vestal on June 7, less than a month after closing its previous location. The restaurant's former location inside the Quality Inn and Suites closed in May due to the hotel's planned conversion into an apartment building. Just under a month after the restaurant closed, Fuji San Japanese restaurant has reopened in a new location. Fuji San, formerly situated within the Quality Inn and Suites on the Vestal Parkway, reopened at 100 Rano Blvd.

Temperatures are expected to reach a high near 90 degrees by June 22. The first weekend of summer is predicted to be the driest of the month so far, with only slight chances of rain. The first day of summer is June 20, and it will bring hot temperatures to Binghamton along with it. National Weather Service Binghamton meteorologist Ema Sera said to expect temperatures to gradually increase throughout the weekend, reaching around 90 degrees by June 22.
