1924: It is rumored, and evidently is true, that the Famous Players-Laskey Co. will not film Zane Grey’s “The Vanishing American” in and northeast of Flagstaff this summer, as announced several times lately. The plans, it is reported, have fallen through because the picture people did not care to pay the price they were asked for picture privileges at one of the locations and the transportation charges connected with that location.
