President Donald Trump endorsed Utah Republican Party Chairman Rob Axson in a social media post on Thursday. Axson is facing a challenge to his chairmanship from former state lawmaker and gubernatorial candidate Phil Lyman. In his post, Trump pointed out that Axson has received endorsements from Sen. Mike Lee and Gov. Spencer Cox.

Antony Blinken's stepfather was held in a Nazi death camp for two years during World War II. He escaped with a friend during a forced march in Bavaria, and as they ran for their lives they came upon a tank, Blinken said. The tank had a five-pointed star on it, and as the men approached an American G.I. poked his head out of the top.

Utah has arrived. It's no longer the "spunky upstart" trying to make its way onto the stage, Gov. Spencer Cox said in remarks to a room full of the state's political and business leaders. After Utah was named the best state in the nation for the third year in a row by U.S. News and World Report, Cox is taking a victory lap of sorts, celebrating the strong human capital he sees as the basis for the state's success.

President Donald Trump spoke about tariffs on China, and what that could mean for consumers, as well as whether he wants to run for a third term in a wide-ranging interview on "Meet the Press." The interview with host Kristen Welker took place on Friday at Trump's Florida resort home, Mar-a-Lago, but it was broadcast in full on Sunday. In her introduction, Welker said Trump had "disrupted the global world order" after levying stiff tariffs on China, Mexico, Canada and other trading partners.

A Utah judge ruled the Utah Fits All Scholarship program was unconstitutional in a decision delivered Friday, leaving thousands of children who were beneficiaries of the program in limbo. Gov. Spencer Cox said Friday he would appeal the ruling, as legislative proponents of the program reacted angrily to the judge's decision.
