One spring day last year, now-fourth-year Iris Harshaw and a group of her friends at UC San Diego formed Pandora Forum to discuss their shared interests in classical Greek and Roman history. More than a year later, the club has expanded and built an inclusive community for students in the classical studies major and beyond who are interested in classical studies. Pandora Forum is a space to examine the issues of classical studies and create camaraderie among students with similar interests.

The date is April 15, 2024. Four days prior, Associated Students at UC San Diego sent out teasers regarding who would be headlining the Sun God Festival. Suddenly, a banner drops from the second floor of Price Center. The banner, along with the date, time, and location of the festival, reads, “JPEGMAFIA.” The American rapper and producer was the first announcement of the featured artists playing at Sun God.

In the depths of the UC San Diego subreddit, various users have shared their grievances concerning parking on campus. Search results for the word “parking” return various complaints about the price and lack of parking on campus. The struggle of navigating a changing campus is the reality for many commuters at UCSD. Eleanor Roosevelt College freshman Caleb Pigon opted out of applying for a parking pass. He now relies on the Nobel Drive trolley station for his commute.

The ‘fiercely independent’ radio station KSDT aims to spread the word about their events while also sharing the music that they all love. While most of the student organizations in the Old Student Center sit quietly among studying students and various activities, music can be heard from one building in particular. On any given day, the DJs at KSDT Radio Station play music for those entering the Old Student Center or tuning in online.
