AHATG3 regulates the organization of the ATG3~LC3 conjugate on membranesWe wondered how mutations in the AH would affect its dynamics and the organization of the ATG3~LC3 conjugate. We created an atomistic model of the first 24 residues of ATG3 as an α-helix and inserted it into a lipid bilayer (Fig. 5A). Studying the helix in isolation enabled us to focus on the helix-membrane interactions and accumulate longer simulation times.
