Donald Trump will start his second non-consecutive term as president of the US later today (20 January). His impending inauguration has led to mixed reactions from across the investment world. From a UK investor perspective, a split has occurred in reaction to Trump 2.0, according to research from JP Morgan-owned digital wealth manager Nutmeg. The research showed that 29% believe his presidency will have a positive impact on investments, while 31% disagree.

Premier Miton has seen positive net inflows to its open-ended funds during last quarter of 2024. The flows were largely driven by its US equity, diversified multi-asset, fixed income and absolute return strategies. The investment manager today (16 January) published an update on its unaudited statement of assets under management (AuM) for the first quarter of the current financial year. It reported a £10.7bn AuM as of 31 December 2024 and a £33m of net outflows for the quarter.
