Closer-to-seasonable temperatures are expected Wednesday in Northern California ahead of hotter days later this week. Meteorologist Tamara Berg said Wednesday's forecast high for downtown Sacramento will be 82 degrees. Overall, expect highs to peak in the Valley in the upper 70s to low 80s. The highs will peak in the low 90s starting Thursday through Saturday. Clouds will increase by Sunday along with the Delta breeze to signal cooling.
