1 INTRODUCTION Fibromyalgia (FM) is a common long-term condition affecting up 6.6% of the population worldwide and around 5% in the United Kingdom (UK). It affects more women than men, with peak onset during working age (25–55 years) (Fayaz et al., 2016; Marques et al., 2017).
