Three people were found dead in the wreckage of a small plane after it crashed into the Platte River south of Fremont on Friday night. About 8:15 p.m. Friday, a small aircraft crashed into the Platte River. The plane was traveling along the river when it went down, resulting in the deaths of all three individuals aboard, according to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.

Emergency personnel are on site of a plane crash that reportedly occurred shortly after 8 p.m. in the Platte River south of Fremont. Dodge County dispatchers told deputies they had received multiple calls about a plane hitting power lines and crashing into the Platte River. The first deputies arriving on scene reported spotting a white plane in the river. The Fremont Fire & Rescue Department were advised to meet deputies at the Hormel Park Boat Ramp.

The Pathfinder Chorus is inviting everyone to take a trip to Kimmel Theater on Saturday to enjoy their spring show. The popular male a cappella chorus based in Fremont will be presenting “Come Fly With Me” as its spring show. Concerts are set for 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at Kimmel Theater near Eighth and Clarkson streets on the Midland University campus. Gateway Quartet out of St. Charles, Missouri, will be joining the Fremont Pathfinders as their special guest.
