Fremont Tribune
The Fremont Tribune has been providing news and shopping insights to the residents and businesses of eastern Nebraska since 1868. Each Tuesday through Friday, over 5,000 copies of the Tribune are read across Burt, Colfax, Cuming, Dodge, Douglas, Saunders, and Washington counties. Additionally, the Tribune publishes the Fremont Area Shopper, which is distributed to non-subscribers in the same regions every Tuesday. Together, the Fremont Tribune and the Fremont Area Shopper connect with almost 38,000 readers in this seven-county area.

Three people were found dead in the wreckage of a small plane after it crashed into the Platte River south of Fremont on Friday night. About 8:15 p.m. Friday, a small aircraft crashed into the Platte River. The plane was traveling along the river when it went down, resulting in the deaths of all three individuals aboard, according to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.

Emergency personnel are on site of a plane crash that reportedly occurred shortly after 8 p.m. in the Platte River south of Fremont. Dodge County dispatchers told deputies they had received multiple calls about a plane hitting power lines and crashing into the Platte River. The first deputies arriving on scene reported spotting a white plane in the river. The Fremont Fire & Rescue Department were advised to meet deputies at the Hormel Park Boat Ramp.
