COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Central Ohio Trauma System brings together hospitals and various health care agencies to prepare for big events. On Tuesday morning, hospitals, law enforcement, EMS and fire crews met to discuss plans for Red, White & BOOM! "To talk about what a response would look like if something happened at Red, White & BOOM! How could we manage patients in a mass casualty event if something happened during Boom?" said Jodi Keller, director of Healthcare Emergency Preparedness for COTS.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The city of Columbus has invested $28 million in summer programming. Mayor Andrew Ginther said this is the most money the city has invested in the programming. He said that is because the city knows that summer programs for kids work. The programs not only give kids somewhere to go and something to do in the summer, but they also are aimed at preventing future crime in the city. There are more than 100 different organizations' programs funded this summer by the city.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Bus rapid transit is one step closer to making its way to central Ohio. COTA is planning on breaking ground on its first route along West Broad Street in early 2026. "We want people to be able to use rapid transit, and that means providing a transit system that works just as efficiently as time as a vehicle," said Jeff Pullin, director of public and media relations for COTA. Right now, COTA has plans for three lines.
